We have come a long way in building equality and inclusion for the LGBTQ+ community. What started as a protest march in 1970, to mark the anniversary of the Stonewall riots in NYC in 1969, Pride has now become a global month long celebration of the LGBTQ+ community, embraced by many, including our Company. While Pride is a celebration for many, it is also a time to highlight that we still have a long route ahead of us before we have attained a level of acceptance that would not require fighting to get married or to adopt a child or to be recognized by our government, religion or worst, in some cases, our families. So while we celebrate with our LGBTQ+ friends, family and colleagues, let’s look forward to the day when true equality and love for everyone is achieved.
